Rose Red About To Jump Onto The Silver Screen
Disney look to be continuing their latest crusade of re-imagining fairy tales with little know character, Rose Red, the sister of Snow White being the next obscure character to get her own story.
Disney have Evan Daugherty (who previously wrote Snow White and the Huntsman) working on a script originally by Justin Merz about the character originally created by the Brothers Grimm. The plan is to use the movie to build the character to tie more closely with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The story will take place as Snow White is sent to sleep by a poison apple and Rose Red sets out on a journey with Grumpy to find a way to break the spell and wake Snow White. Daugherty has been brought in to tie the two stories together more closely. Whether Prince Charming will make an appearance is unclear at this time.
