Everyday Life, If Directed By… – Web Series
Everyday Life, If Directed By… is a brilliant idea. What would your life be like if it was being directed by the likes of Quentin Tarantino? Director Alan Del Tufo asked that same question three years ago. He told us “One day my friends and I were complaining that we were all having a really boring week. Then we started joking around saying that we needed Quentin Tarantino to direct our days, “Wouldn’t be so boring then!” The jokes expanded to how our routine days would play out if we have different directors deciding our fate.”
Sometimes this is how the best ideas start. Everyday Life, If Directed By… is a prime example of how a simple idea can snowball and turn into something more. We asked Alan how this idea turned into a web series? “We had so many laughs that the next day I wrote the pilot episode for “Everyday Life, if Directed by…” I got together with a few actors and my production team, and shot a pilot 1 month later.”
As the pandemic hit online content became more in-demand as people were stuck in their house looking for something new to watch. Luckily for Alan, Tongal, an ad agency based in LA was looking for content for their YouTube channel. Alan added “I pitched them the idea and submitted the pilot…. They went for it! They picked it up and funded me for 3 more episodes.”
The web series has been proving very popular and rightly so. This is a great concept and a thoroughly enjoyable watch. Check the whole series out yourself below.
